2 miles stretching my legs out.. . . .

Before running tonight I stopped at the running store to talk to Debbie and Josh about race strategy. I feel very prepared. While we were in the store someone came in and told us that there was an awesome rainbow outside. It tooked like a picture painted by an artist. Then I headed home for my afternoon run.

I am not a happy camper running in the dark but I will do what I have to do to get in the work. It was very cold tonight. The weather is not going to stop me from reaching out to hit the pavement. I went out and decided that I wanted to run this workout a little faster than race pace. I did the first mile at 7:11. I stretched it out even more and ran a 6:54 on the way back.

On the way back a car almost hit me running through a 4 way stop. People do not focus when they are driving. I was lucky that I as focused because I was able to see it happening. If she had hit the gas a little more I a different story mile be being expressed several days from now. But all is well in the brooksrunner camp.

I did feel sick after I ran because a little of my lunch came up. I am just starting to feel better. I am going to eat something.
